We stayed at The Westin Oaks in the Galleria in Houston on our family road trip this summer. See road trip post here.
It is is a beautiful hotel with a large reception area.
Parking is underground but free for hotel guests. You can also pay a daily fee to Valet.
We stayed on the 20th floor and had quite a view.
The room was a king bedroom with 2 sitting chairs, a desk, tv, and coffee bar. We got a roll-a-way bed for the girls.
The bathroom was a good size with a tub/shower combo.
The hotel offers a small lavender oil bottle by your pillow to give you a peaceful night’s sleep! Just loved this little treat as I am a big fan of essential oils!
The hotel is actually attached to the Galleria which is a big perk for shoppers. You walk through a hallway of the hotel on the floor below the lobby that opens up to an ice skating rink and restaurants of many kinds. From there you can shop your heart out. I did not get to enjoy the shops as much as I would have liked because I had the kids and my Lumberjack in tow. But I do plan to visit The Westin Oaks again and shop til I drop. We did get to eat at the Rainforest Cafe which the girls enjoyed very much.
Across the street from the hotel, there are also tons of restaurants and stores that are not connected to the Galleria. This area of Houston is very fun to visit with large trees and beautiful homes to see.
Definitely will stay here again. Very nice and beautiful hotel.
